1st Year Anniversary of My Departure From Corporate

Time flies – it’s now a year and a week since I left my ex-company to pursue my passion My last day was 30 Sep 2008. In the last couple of weeks before last day, I still remember I was rushing around, trying to tie as many things as I could and doing all I could to give the best transition to my replacement. My farewell dinner with my team was a teary one, too. In my speech, I told them how I loved all of them, but I had to leave because it was time to pursue what I truly love to do. It was inevitable in order to pursue a life of highest purpose.

So fast forward to now To say that I’m ecstatic with how things have turned out is probably an understatement. My 1-1 coaching started since March this year and has been bustling in demand ever since. My coaching rates have risen by over tenfold since the beginning, to match the continuously increasing demand. The School of Personal Excellence is now up and running, 4 years before my original target. I now have a proper office to conduct all my coaching and training compared to the use of public eateries at the beginning. If that’s not enough, my office doubles up as my own private apartment since I have my own bedroom and attached toilet inside. I remember wanting to have my own apartment back when I was in my ex-company because I wanted to reduce commuting time. As they say, be careful what you wish for because you might just get that

With the launch of the school, things are definitely going to get even busier in the months ahead. All the group and personal coaching programs are designed and conducted by me at the moment. In addition to an Academic Excellence course I’m running at the moment, there are a few upcoming workshops this month, such as our new Career Excellence series and customized workshops with organizations. Busy as busy is though, I’m not complaining at all – there’s nothing quite like being able to do what you love, every moment of the day

Since I’m constantly urging people to achieve excellence, I figure – hey, there’s no better way to empower others than to walk the talk! Thus, I have in plan huge goals and huge plans which get me really revved up just from looking at them! Furthermore, the process of pursuing supposedly “impossible” goals helps me see through self- limiting frameworks and grow even faster.
