Upcoming Workshop: How To Write Winning Resumes (19 June, Sat)

This Saturday, I’ll be conducting a workshop with JobsCentral on How To Write Winning Resumes. We’re rerunning this workshop after popular demand from the 1st run in March (Pictures here) :D . This is the 3rd time I’m conducting this workshop, and 2nd time I’m holding it with JobsCentral. Having a winning resume is the first of the 2 steps to getting your desired job (2nd being interview), and if you want to maximize your chances of employment success, it’s important you learn how to write your personal best resume.

Whether you are an undergraduate, fresh graduate or an experienced professional who wants to improve your resume writing skills and increase your employment opportunities, this workshop will be highly beneficial for you.

I’ll be training on resume fundamentals (to get everyone started off on the right page, so don’t worry if you have little background on resume writing), how to really write your resume and bring out your best (both for beginners and experienced resume writers), and I’ll also share strategies and tips on how to reach out to employers in the market as a bonus, and case studies of how others have nabbed their jobs via those same strategies. We’ll also be doing resume critiquing to apply the strategies learned, so be sure to bring 2 hard copies of your resume and email a soft copy to info [ at ] tsope.net before the workshop :D

  • Resume essentials – Learn the key elements of every resume
  • Key resume formats – What they are and which one to use
  • Top resume writing strategies and techniques to showcase your real value as the up-and-coming employee
  • Resume critique – Get the chance to evaluate a fellow job seeker’s resume and have your resume evaluated and critiqued as well! (Please bring at least 2 hard copies of your resume along for this workshop!)

Participants all felt this was very high value for money and those who attended similar resume/employment workshops before said our workshop is a lot better than the others. 100% of them voted they will recommend this to their friends. Hey Risa, aw that’s a pity! I probably won’t be writing about resumes on the blog, since it’s not directly related to the theme of the blog and the content is intellectual property under the workshop partnership. I might be starting a 1-1 resume/career coaching service after popular demand from participants, and will share more if it takes place.
