* Apologies if the lighting looks weird – Original lighting was quite dim so we edited as best as we could during post-production

PS: I didn’t realize I was writing that much during the interview! I was definitely listening though; was taking notes of Violet’s valuable insights for the interview!
PPS: By the way in one of the shots you can catch a glimsp of my production manager filming. See if you can spot it!

Great approach! Just.. is it only me, or is it quite hard to understand what you talk about? In my opinion the music is way too loud compared to the volume of the voices.
Thanks a lot Michel for your feedback!
You’re right – the BGM is loud relative to the voices. We’ll revise and upload a new version now. My natural talking speed is pretty fast, so some people have difficulty understanding what I’m saying. I’m going to have to keep in mind to speak slower from the next episode onwards!
Congratulations on the show Celes! I have been following your blog for maybe six months but have not commented until now. It’s exciting to see your progress. You’re an inspiration!
Well done Celes, good show! Thanks for asking my questions, great answers from Ms Violet Lim. Keep it up
Jim: Thanks a lot!
I just checked out your site and it seems you are a great source of inspiration yourself! I look forward to knowing you better!
Imelda: No problem, and glad you like the show!
I hope Violet’s answer helped to shed some light! I myself find the whole girls/first move thing quite a conundrum!
Hello Celes,
Congratulations! This was a very good start, I think. Very good idea with putting some of the tips and questions in the bars at the bottom of the screen.
I am with Michel on the voice/sound. It is hard to understand sometimes, especially when both of you laugh
I think it would help for both of you to have microphones – if that’s possible at all.
Thanks a lot Dominika!
Shucks, didn’t realize the bgm is still too loud – we’ve actually revised it after reading the viewer feedback. We’ve tuned it down some more notches and will be uploading the newer version over the weekend.
Keep your feedback coming in; it only helps us to get better!
I would suggest looking into what microphones you are using… I’m not a production expert, but the sound is very echoey and I think it may benefit from a / some microphones placed very close to you and your interviewee, rather than relying on the mic of the camera alone?
don’t know how feasible this is, but I think it would bring more of the sound of your voice (e.g. the bass tones) into the mix and take away the echo?
Well, I told you, you should put your hair down. It’s nicer! ^^
Hi Celes.
I’m pretty sure you won’t get mad a me for stating this, but next time you may want to invest some time into adding subtitles. Either that, or filtering out the background noise and amplifying voice levels. In the long run this may make your videos more valuable to more people.
Everything else was pretty interesting. I myself needed quite some time to realise women don’t always want to be the princess who gets to decide everything. I’ve found out, from watching other people interact, that it can make a guy look pretty pathetic (sometimes bordering on ‘hopeless’).
The part I like best is when Violet Lim says: “A man wants to marry a woman, not a man”. That part made me smile. (:
In general, there are some good tips in this video. Just add some basics like don’t forget to be who you are, make yourself presentable, and you’re good to go..
