The prelude to The Celes Show is finally up!
In this prelude, I share why I’m doing The Celes Show and some things you can be expecting for the upcoming episodes. Watch it here:
The opening music is Walking on Sunshine by Katrina and the Waves. Love the song and its upbeat tempo!
Special thanks to my production manager, Hakeem, for all his support, song selection and production work – without him this would not have rolled off this soon at all! Thanks so much Keemie!
The 1st episode of The Celes Show is centered on Relationships and Valentine’s Day and it scheduled to be up by 14 Feb. Stay tuned!
Meanwhile, do share your thoughts on the Prelude with us in the comments below!

Celes, I’ve been a reader since about 1 year ago and I still remember the entry you posted about your plans for the show. So nice to see that you’re launching it. Cheers(:
I am not sure if this has been mentioned before but I think that the whole The Celestine Chua Show concept really adds a new dimension to how you interact with your readers and needless to say too, how your readers interact with you in return.
I have surfed numerous blogs and none so far have come up with the idea of actually hosting a show. So kudos on that!
i feel that it’s a wonderful idea. however, how are you intending to interact with your viewers? any plans on engaging us from other countries via skype and what not?
on another note, maybe you could bring up topics on poverty, whether it is/is not persistent over there in singapore.if so how is it being tackled?
other topics i think might be interesting would be social problems such as gambling, broken familes, the rising number of divorces.the impact it has on kids and such.
Hi Celes, love that you are continuously following through on your dreams. Are you filming the actual show in a studio or out in the open? The background noise is quite noisy in this prelude. It will be good if it is a quiet environment so it is more audible.
have you thought of getting popular people (not necessary experts in any field) on the show? a lot of talkshows do that and it helps increase viewership.
this is a great idea and a wonderful thing to share…it’s amazing to me, that, as popular as self improvement and human potential is today, there isn’t a show on tv that is centered around this essential subject…i wish you great success.
Hi Celes,
I’ve been following your blog for about 4-5 mos and I continue to see movement forward! Your efforts and diligence towards accomplishing your goals are contagious and inspiring! Congratulations!
I like your idea of filming in a public location, although the background noise was a bit overwhelming. I’m pretty sure you can edit the video to minimize the noise, so just some thought.
Looking forward to your show!
Hey guys! Thanks so much for your wonderful feedback!
It’s really sweet that you took the time out to share your comments!
@pete – I’m definitely planning on roping the viewers in some way, especially since it’s a show catered to you guys! My immediate plan is to invite all of you to share your questions/thoughts for every upcoming episode, of which I’ll feature selected ones during the show. With the upcoming 1st epi on dating/relationships, we will be having a special guest who is an expert on the topic of dating/relationships! I’ll be posting details soon and will also have an open request to all of you for questions to ask her. Stay tuned!
@tony – Thanks for the suggestion and I’m definitely planning to feature popular personas on the show too. The central theme of the show is going to be about conscious living and personal excellence, so we will always be drawing focus back to these in all the interviews/episodes.
@Steve & Susan – You’re right – The background noise is quite loud! To be honest I was blind to how distracting it can be, probably because I was so focused on the other production elements. Future episodes will be filmed in a studio so there shouldn’t be any issues on noise distraction anymore
Hi Celes,
Thanks for the upload. very interesting idea. I’m definitely looking into it. I have been reading your articles and it helped me tremendously over the months. Thanks for the starting this website. You are very smart.:)
Hey Charmaine, thanks so much for your support – You’re such a sweetheart!
How’s Alex doing? Hope both of you are doing great! Let’s make 2010 a real blast for all of us!
Hi Celes!
Congratulations on your newest endeavor! I have been reading and enjoying your blogs for several months. You definitely walk the talk and follow your passions and dreams. I am looking forward to your show and liked reading that it will be filmed in a studio. This video was good but I struggled to hear what you were saying eventhough I had the volume as high as it would go. Keep up your excellence!
Hey Terri, thanks a lot for your well wishes!
Yes, seems like the volume is quite an issue. We’ll work to ensure it’s more audible from the 1st episode onward. Stay tuned for the 1st epi this Friday!
